Christian Schmid Rincón is a prominent director and creative director born in New York and raised between Germany and Colombia. His rich multicultural heritage has provided him with a unique perspective that is reflected in his work; he is fluent in three languages: English, Spanish, and German, which allows him to connect with a variety of audiences effectively.
Christian’s beginnings in the world of Latin music started at MTV Latino, where he served as a presenter and writer. Leveraging his passion for music, he offered a fresh and engaging approach, bringing viewers closer to Latin rhythms and paving the way for his future career in music video direction.


Throughout his career, Schmid Rincón has worked with a wide range of artists, creating music videos for an eclectic mix that spans from mainstream music icons such as Los Ángeles Azules, Fonseca, Diego Torres, Kenia Os, Andrés Cepeda, Camila, Río Roma, Carlos Rivera, Alejandro Fernández, Carlos Vives, Emilia, Carlos Rivera, Panteón Rococó, Bacilos, Alex Fernández, and Virlan García, to independent talents like Crew Peligrosos and Diamante Eléctrico. His ability to adapt his visual style to the energy and essence of each artist has allowed his work to resonate deeply with diverse audiences.


In the realm of creative direction, Christian has stood out for his role in creating the visual concept and directing Fonseca's symphonic DVD, as well as in the DVD "Una Historia Musical" by Sergio George and Tito Nieves, where he also served as director. Recently, he is developing the visual aspects of Bacilos' new tour, "Pequeños Romances Tour 2024/25," adding a visual dimension that complements the group’s live performances.


He has worked for well-known brands such as Nike, Cerveza Águila, Motorola, Nosotras, and Red Bull. These brands specifically seek Christian for music-focused projects, recognizing his ability to merge visual creativity with soundtracks that captivate and connect with audiences.
